Action starts at 5 p.m. and admission is free. A stream of the event can be found on B1G + (paid subscription required), while live scoring will be available on GopherSports.com and the Meet Mobile app (paid subscription required).
Both the Gopher men and women remain undefeated on the season after last week's dual-meet win over Army. This week, the men's team jumped up to the 18 spot (previously 22) in the CSCAA rankings and the women moved up to No. 23 (previously 24).
For the second consecutive week, multiple Gophers picked up Big Ten weekly honors. Freshman Jacob Johnson was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week in back-to-back weeks, and sophomore Elna Widerstrom picked up the first Big Ten Diver of the Week honor of her career.
The Gophers are coming off an impressive performance versus Army. Eight different women and six different men picked up individual wins. Katie McCarthy and Morgan Thomas led the way for the women with two individual wins. Joe Rudd, Joey Tepper, and Kaiser Neverman also picked up two individual wins for the men. Freshman Jacob Johnson set a new school record in the 200 fly with a time of 1:42.47. On the diving side, YuTong Wang and Elna Widerstrom were victorious on both the 1 and 3 meter dives.
The St. Thomas men and women programs are both 1-0 on the season, previously taking down Green Bay at home on Oct. 4.
The South Dakota State women's program is 0-1 on the season, coming off a loss to Iowa State on Oct. 10th. The SDSU men's program will open their season this week against the Gophers.
