Minnesota Women to Host Iowa on Friday

MINNEAPOLIS – The University of Minnesota women's swim and dive program returns to Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center to host Iowa on Friday evening. The program is ranked No. 23 in the CSCAA Top 25 Polls, and holds a 5-1 record on the season.
Action starts at 5 p.m. and admission is free. A stream of the event can be found on B1G + (paid subscription required), while live scoring will be available on GopherSports.com and the Meet Mobile app (paid subscription required).
The Gopher women are looking to bounce back after Wisconsin handed them their first dual meet loss of the season last week. Junior diver Vivi Del Angel led the way at Wisconsin by winning both the 1 (299.03) and 3 meter dives (313.80). Freshman swimmer Livi Wanner is also coming off an impressive performance in both the 50 (22.40) and 100 (48.75) freestyle, earning B cuts in both events.
Iowa is currently 2-0 on the season with wins over Northern Iowa and Nebraska.
