Minnesota to Host First Chance Meet

MINNEAPOLIS - The Minnesota swimming and diving teams begin their championship season on Friday as they host the First Chance Meet at Jean K. Aquatic Center.
The Golden Gophers will be host to other local universities in their final competition before the No. 23-ranked women's team competes in the Big Ten Championships Feb. 21-24 at Purdue. The men's team, who is receiving votes in the latest CSCAA poll, will compete in the Big Tens the following week at Ohio State.
The meet begins on Friday at 5 p.m. with session one which includes the 100 fly, 100 breast, 500 free, 200 IM and 50 free.
Session two begins on Saturday at 11 a.m. and will feature the 400 IM, 200 free, 100 back and 1650 free.
The final session will be Saturday evening at 5 p.m. with the 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast and 200 fly.
The meet will be streamed on Big Ten+ and live results will be available on GopherSports.com and the Meet Mobile app.
TRAFFIC & PARKING ADVISORY: Numerous events are occurring on Saturday, February 10 on the University of Minnesota campus including Men's & Women's Swimming, Tennis, Women's Hockey, Men's Hockey, and Gymnastics. All fans are encouraged to arrive early and allocate additional time for arriving on campus. Individuals attending the First Chance meet are encouraged to park in the University Avenue or Washington Avenue ramps. Parking is $10 at these locations. Please note that these facilities only accept credit cards upon entry and spaces cannot be guaranteed at every location.
