MINNEAPOLIS - Another home midweek matchup and another Big Ten road series is on deck for the University of Minnesota softball team this week. The Gophers will host the South Dakota State Jackrabbits on Wednesday and will hit the road to Iowa City for three games against the Hawkeyes.

- Sophomore shortstop Jess Oakland achieved 100 career straight-starts for the Golden Gophers over the weekend.
- Since 2023, Oakland has started every game for Minnesota.
- This season, Oakland is averaging .451 with 17 home runs this season. She needs nine more to enter Minnesota's career top five. She's currently tied for fifth in a single season.
- Oakland leads multiple categories in the Big Ten and nationally. Her average leads the Big Ten and is ninth in the NCAA, her 64 hits are second in the conference and 18th in the country. The sophomore is averaging - 1.36 runs per game, handing her a No. 2 national ranking and No. 1 conference ranking.

- Two of Minnesota's starting pitchers secured their first complete games against Wisconsin and Rutgers.
- Freshman Macy Richardson went 7.0 innings against Wisconsin with four strikeouts.
