Gophers Set To Play In Tiger Collegiate

MINNEAPOLIS - The University of Minnesota men's golf team is back in action Monday at the Tiger Collegiate.
The two-day, 54-hole stroke play tournament takes place Monday and Tuesday, and it will be held at the Club at Old Hawthorne in Columbia, Mo.

The Lineup:
The Maroon and Gold will be facing off against Big Ten-foe Rutgers, 36th-ranked Chattanooga, and No. 37 host-Missouri. The rest of the field is comprised of Arkansas State, Central Arkansas, Iowa State, Kansas State, Lindenwood, Lipscomb, Louisiana Monroe, San Francisco, South Dakota State, Stetson, Saint Mary's (Calif.) and UAB.
The Lineup:
The Gophers will be represented by graduate senior Jacob Pedersen, senior Ben Warian, junior Bennett Swavely, sophomores Cormac Sharpe and Mason Roloff. Also representing the Gophers and competing as an individual is junior Eduardo Galdos.
The Course:
The Tiger Collegiate will be played at the Club at Old Hawthorne. The course plays as a par-71 and measures at 7,221.
Last Time Out:
Minnesota was last on the course March 24-25 at the Seahawk Intercollegiate. As a team, the Gophers (305-309-299–913) finished the tournament in 13th place overall with a score of 49-over par. The Gophers' top scorer through the opening two rounds, graduate senior Brock Winter did not compete in the final round due to withdrawing from the tournament. Ben Warian finished the tournament with a score of 12-over par, placing him in a tie for 45th place, to lead the Gophers.
