Ava Stewart, Team Canada Advance to Women's Team Final

It's the first time in 12 years they will compete in the final
PARIS, France -- Gopher signee Ava Stewart and Team Canada placed sixth in the Artistic Gymnastics team qualifications this morning, punching their ticket to the Women's Team Final.
It's the first time in 12 years that Canada has made the final.
Canada posted a team score of 161.563, behind only Team USA (172.296), Italy (166.861), China (166.628), Brazil (166.628) and Japan (162.196).
Ava Stewart finished with a total of 52.332 in the all-around, placing 26th overall. She went 13.600 on vault, 13.466 on bars, 12.633 on beam and 12.633 on floor. For her second straight Olympics, Ava made the all-around final, which is set for Thursday, Aug. 1 at 11:15 a.m. CT.
Stewart and Canada will take part in the Women's Team Final on Tuesday, July 30 at 11 a.m. CT on NBC/Peacock.
