Ava Stewart Finishes 19th at Olympics All-Around Final

She competed for Team Canada in her second Olympic Games

PARIS, France -- Gophers incoming freshman Ava Stewart and placed 19th in the Artistic Gymnastics Women's All-Around Final on Thursday afternoon to conclude her run at the 2024 Olympics.

Stewart competed in all for events for Canada, where her vault score was 13.333, bars was 12.633 and she earned scores of 13.166 on beam and 12.500 on floor. Her total score was 51.632. 

Two days prior, she helped Canada post a team score of 162.432, behind only Team USA (171.296), Italy (165.494), Brazil (164.497) and Great Britain (164.263) in the Women's Team Final. Canada's fifth place outing tying their best-ever Olympics finish. They also finished fifth in 2012 and 1984.

Ava Stewart competed in every event besides floor during the team final, where she earned scores of 13.300 on vault, 13.500 on bars (tied for team-best) and 13.800 on beam.

Stewart signed with Minnesota last year and will enroll at the University during the start of the fall 2024 semester. She'll have four years of eligibility beginning with the 2025 season.
