Gophers Tied for Seventh After Day Two of ANNIKA Intercollegiate Presented by 3M

LAKE ELMO, Minn. – The University of Minnesota women's golf team concluded the second day of the ANNIKA Intercollegiate tied for seventh place. The Gopher's have a two-day score of 286-298-584 (+8) and are tied with Iowa State headed into the final round.
Junior standout Isabella McCauley continues to lead the Maroon and Gold after two days of competition. McCauley is in solo fifth place after notching an eagle and two birdies to solidify a two-day score of 67-73-140 (-4).
South Carolina leads the team competition with a two-day score of 276-281-557 (-19).
Notable:
Sophomore Mariana Mesones is tied for 21st place. She carded one birdie and 11 pars in round two and has a two-day score of 67-77-146 (+2).
Freshman Reese McCauley played consistently across rounds to end round two with a two-day score of 74-74-148 (+4). After adding four birdies to her scorecard, she is tied for 29th place.
Sophomore Sara Tomaszewski concluded the day tied for 43rd with a score of 76-74-150 (+6). Junior Madison Le has a two-day score of 82-77-159 (+15) and is in 60th place.
Looking Ahead:
The final round of the ANNIKA Intercollegiate presented by 3M will take place tomorrow, Sept. 11. Le will tee off first for the Gophers at 8:35 a.m. CT with ten-minute increments between players.
