Maroon and Gold Wrap Up First 36 Holes of Badger Invitational

MINNEAPOLIS - The University of Minnesota Men's golf team concluded the second round of the Badger Invitational Sunday in Madison, Wisc.
The Gophers currently stand in ninth-place overall, with an overall team score of 4-over par (292-288–580). Big Ten rival-Wisconsin leads the tournament with a team score of 15-under par (281-280–561).
Notable:
Senior Bennett Swavely leads the Maroon and Gold through the first 36 holes at 1-under par (70-73). Swavely currently stands in a tie for 17th after the first two rounds
Senior Eduardo Galdos (74-70) and junior Cormac Sharpe (69-75) are both tied for 25th after the first two rounds with a score of even-par.
Competing as an individual, freshman Jack Crousore concluded the first 36 holes tied for 38th, with a score of 3-over par (72-75).
Freshman Chun-Ta Wu (79-70) currently sits tied for 52nd at 5-over par, with fellow freshman Ryan Stendahl (83-76) tied for 84th.
Staying Home:
Competing as individuals in the inaugural Tommie Invitational in Stillwater, Minn., juniors Jack Wetzel and Mason Roloff, and sophomore Kyler Schwamb concluded the first two rounds of the Tommie Invitational
Wetzel (78-71) currently sits tied for 23rd at 6-over par, with Roloff finishing the day tied for 44th (81-74). Sophomore Schwamb (81-76) concluded the day in a tie for 52nd.
