SHAKOPEE, Minn. - The third-ranked Gopher women's hockey team took home the win in their third outdoor game in program history, topping the Bemidji State Beavers 3-1 at Valleyfair Amusement Park.

Minnesota moves to a 21-5-1 (15-4-1 WCHA) record and complete their second sweep of Bemidji State this season. The Gophers have won 27 consecutive games against the Beavers.

The Maroon & Gold got off to a fast start, scoring two goals by the midpoint of the first period. Sophomore forward Emma Kreisz lit the first lamp of the day, assisted by Emma Conner, 7:16 into the game. Three-and-a-half minute later, redshirt-senior forward Abbey Murphy scored her 23rd goal of the season, assisted by Gracie Graham. The score put Murphy at 93 career goals, tied for 9th-most in program history.

Freshman defender Gracie Graham brought the Gopher lead to three with her fourth goal of the last five games, and overall sixth goal of the season, 5:55 into the second period, assisted by Peyton Hemp and Ava Lindsay

The Beavers would cut their deficit to two with a five-on-three power play goal at the 8:30 mark in the second, but were unable to find the back of the net through the end of the third period. Minnesota solidified their 3-0-0 program record outdoors with a final score of 3-1.
