MEDINAH, Ill. – The Golden Gophers women's golf team concluded play at the Illini Invitational on Tuesday, finishing with a three-round team score of 284-291-291—865 (+1) at Medinah Country Club.
Senior Isabella McCauley led Minnesota individually with rounds of 71-68-71 to finish at 6-under-par 210, placing tied for seventh overall. McCauley's steady final round included an eagle on the par-4 ninth hole, securing her first top-ten finish of the season.
Notable:
Junior Mariana Mesones recorded rounds of 71-71-70 to finish at four-under 212, placing tied for 15th. Her final-round 70 featured five birdies.
Senior Olivia Deakins finished tied for 46th at 3-over-par 219 (74-72-73). She closed the event with a composed 73 in round three, marking her lowest 54-hole total of the season.
Sophomore Reese McCauley posted rounds of 77-72-78 to finish at 11-over-par 227, tied for 72nd place.
Freshman Lauryn Finley also tied for 72nd after rounds of 75-75-77 to finish at 11-over-par 227.
