Twins exhibition and Cambria Classic make their return in 2026
MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. – The University of Minnesota baseball program has officially announced their schedule for the upcoming 2026 season, featuring 23 non-conference matchups and 31 Big Ten tilts for a total of 54 regular season competitions.
The Gophers are set to play 31 home games this season, 12 of which will take place at U.S. Bank Stadium from late February through mid-March. 19 games at Siebert Field will offer ample opportunity for fans to see the 2026 Gophers in action before the Big Ten Tournament gets under way at the end of May.
"We're thrilled to announce our 2026 schedule, which features a highly competitive non-conference slate, our every-other-year exhibition game with the Minnesota Twins, and 10 Big Ten series," said head baseball coach, Ty McDevitt. "This schedule will take us all around the country — from Florida to California, to Pennsylvania, and many great places in between. We're excited to host Gopher fans in both U.S. Bank Stadium and at Siebert Field, and we can't wait to compete in front of our fans as we continue to build on the proud tradition of Gopher Baseball."
Minnesota will kick off their season on Feb. 13, with a seven game stretch in the Sunshine State, starting off with appearances against Stetson, St. John's, and Ball State in Deland, Fla. A single game tilt with Florida Gulf Coast University precedes the return of the Gophers exhibition against the Minnesota Twins on Feb. 20, making it's return for the first time since 2024.
A pair of games in Fort Myers against the Northeastern Huskies will close out Minnesota's Florida stretch before their return to U.S. Bank Stadium for a four game series with Kansas and a two game tilt with Milwaukee to close out the month of February and open March.
The Cambria Classic makes its return to Minneapolis on Mar. 6, welcoming six teams to the Twin Cities for a three day, nine game round robin event. The field this year will include SDSU, SIU Carbondale, Nebraska-Omaha, UNLV, and fellow Big Ten member Northwestern. The Gophers will face off against the Running Rebels on day one, with matchups against the Jackrabbits and Mavericks over the next two days of the tournament.
The Gophers will play two more games at the Bank before kicking off their Big Ten conference schedule on the road against Illinois on Friday, Mar. 13. Minnesota will play a mid-week game against NDSU before another Big Ten weekend on the road against Indiana.
Minnesota makes their first appearance of the season at Siebert Field on Mar. 25 against St. Thomas before welcoming Ohio State for a three game homestand to end the month.
The Gophers will open the month of April with a three game series on the road against the Hawkeyes starting April 3, and will return home for a four game homestand against SDSU and Washington from Apr. 8-12. Four road games against St. Thomas and UCLA, as well as five straight home games against NDSU, Northwestern, and St. Thomas will close the month of April for Minnesota.
The Gophers will play out their final road series in State College, Pa., against the Nittany Lions before six straight home tilts against Michigan and Nebraska to close out the regular season at Siebert Field.
The Big Ten tournament is currently scheduled to take place May 19-24 in Omaha, Neb. at Charles Schwab Field.
