She is the only Gopher to score 30 or more points this season and the first to do so since Battle had 35 against Gonzaga in the WBIT quarterfinal last season. Grocholski has eight double-figure scoring games this year. The junior is eight points shy of 1,000 for her career.

  • Niamya Holloway and Makena Christian contributed on both ends of the floor on Wednesday. Christian was 4-for-6 from 3-point range and finished with 12 points. Holloway added seven points along with a team- and game-high two blocks and two steals.
  • Minnesota recorded 27 assists against Alabama A&M on Wednesday, marking a team high in the Plitzuweit era. It was the program's most assists in a game since 2015, when the Gophers also had 27 against Purdue. The Maroon and Gold also committed five turnovers.
  • The Gophers rank No. 5 nationally and No. 2 in the Big Ten in assist-to-turnover ratio (192/102), No. 4 in the NCAA and No. 2 in the Big Ten in fewest turnovers, and No. 13 nationally and No. 2 in the conference in scoring defense (52.4 points per game).
