Crousore Leads Gophers At Bell Bank “Pay It Forward” Collegiate

LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. - University of Minnesota freshman Jack Crousore led the Gophers in the final round of the Bell Bank "Pay It Forward" Collegiate Tuesday at Wigwam Golf Club.
The Maroon and Gold concluded the 54-hole tournament in 13th place, with a score of 13-over par (293-297-287–877).
Iowa State took home the victory with a score of 27-under par. The Cyclone's own Zachary May earned medalist honors with a score of 10-under par.
Notable:
Crousore's performance in the final round earned him his personal best 18-hole score of 66. The Gopher freshman concluded the tournament tied for 15th-place with a score of 3-under par (71-76-66). This is Crousore's second top-15 finish in his last two tournaments.
Fellow freshman Chun-Ta Wu tallied eight birdies through his 54-hole tournament. Wu finished the tournament tied for 34th place with a score of 3-over par (71-74-74).
Competing as an individual, junior Jack Wetzel carded three birdies in his final round. Wetzel finished the tournament tied for 44th with a score of 5-over par (73-76-72).
Senior Eduardo Galdos concluded the tournament tied for 49th with a score of 6-over par (77-72-73), while sophomore Kyler Schwamb, who competed as an individual, finished tied for 61st with a score of 8-over par (79-73-71).
Senior Bennett Swavely (75-76-74) concluded the tournament tied for 64th with a score of 9-over par, while junior Cormac Sharpe (76-75-76) finished tied for 68th with a score of 11-over par.
Looking Ahead:
The Gophers will resume play April 12-13 at the Hawkeye Invitational in Iowa City, Iowa.
