Gophers Named to NWCA Team Scholar All-America

MINNEAPOLIS – Minnesota wrestling was among the programs named to the 2025 NCAA Division I Men's Team Scholar All-America top 30 rankings, the National Wrestling Coaches Association announced Thursday.
The Golden Gophers finished with a team GPA of 3.430, good for 24th in Division I. California Baptist took home team honors with a 3.7005 GPA, while only Michigan State (3.559) and Northwestern (3.51) ranked higher among schools in the Big Ten than Minnesota.
The Team Scholar All-America honor is just the latest classroom accolade for Minnesota.
Last month, 14 wrestlers were named Academic All-Big Ten for the 2024-25 winter season, including 4.0 GPAs for Isaiah Salazar and Tim Stapleton.
Earlier this month, seven members of the team were recognized by the NWCA as Scholar All-Americans.
