MINNEAPOLIS -- Minnesota junior golfer Isabella McCauley wrapped up her run at the 2025 Augusta National Women's Amateur Thursday. The first Golden Gopher to represent the Maroon and Gold in the event, McCauley missed the cut for Saturday's final round at Augusta National Golf Club by just one stroke.

"What a great experience for Bella," said head coach Matt Higgins. "This has been a personal goal of her's since the tournament started. The work she has put in over the last year to earn a spot at this tournament is truly remarkable! I am so proud of her, she did a fantastic job representing the University of Minnesota and being the first Gopher to play in the ANWA!"

Competing at Champions Retreat Golf Club for the first two rounds, the Minnesota native showed impressive improvement between rounds, bouncing back from an opening-round 75 to fire an under-par second round of 69. Four birdies fueled her strong performance in round two, helping her climb the leaderboard.

McCauley will end her time in Georgia playing a practice round at the iconic Augusta National Golf Course tomorrow, April 4.
