Minnesota Falls 5-2 to Penn State in Game Two

MINNEAPOLIS -The Minnesota Golden Gophers held a 2-1 lead into the ninth inning, but fell 5-2 to the Penn State Nittany Lions Saturday.
Senior Seth Clausen (0-1) came out of the bullpen for Minnesota (11-16, ) and took the loss. Sophomore Kyle Remington was a bright spot for the Golden Gophers, starting the ballgame and throwing three scoreless innings, allowing two hits, with four walks and eight strikeouts.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Golden Gophers were trailing 1-0 in the seventh inning when they first put runs on the board. Minnesota scored twice in the inning, including one on a solo shot from junior Jake Elbeery. The Golden Gophers were unable to hold the lead, as Penn State scored four times over the remaining two innings to grab the 5-2 win.
