Maroon and Gold Finish Day One at Badger Invitational

MADISON, Wis. - The Golden Gophers men's golf team completed the first round of the Badger Invitational, while weather delayed the completion of the second round. The second round will resume tomorrow before the final round.
Through 27 holes, Minnesota sits in 12th place with 12-over-par. They went 8-over-par through the first round and are currently 4-over-par in the second round. Freshman Joe Honsa has completed the front nine to this point.
Notable Performances:
Sophomore Jack Crousore led the team at even par through the seventh hole in the second round. He tallied three birdies on the day. Also, he currently sits at 1-under-par in the second round.
Honsa has registered a score of 1-over-par throughout his first 27 holes. He picked up his first collegiate eagle on the 11th hole during the first round, where he became the second player to record one this season for the Gophers. Plus, he finished the first round at even par with two birdies collected.
Sophomore Chun-Ta Wu penciled in a score of 3-over-par on the day. He collected five birdies, including four during the first round.
Senior Jack Wetzel shot 1-over-par as an individual. He currently sits at 2-under-par in the second round with three birdies.
