STARTING FIVE
• The Golden Gopher men's basketball team is on the road for its second-straight game when it travels to Ohio State Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. CT. The Buckeyes won the last battle against the two teams, a double-overtime Gopher loss at Williams Arena.
• Minnesota is looking to get back into the win column and snap a three-game skid after a road loss to No. 13 Illinois, 77-67 in Champaign, Ill., Saturday. Tied at the half, Illinois used a 12-2 run midway through the second to pace the win. Jaylen Crocker-Johnson made a career-high five three-pointers and eight field goals to finish with 22 points and eight rebounds. Cade Tyson had 15 points and eight rebounds, while Langston Reynolds had 11 points to go with five assists and two rebounds.
• In the Illinois loss, Crocker-Johnson established back-to-back games where he had 20 or more points. It was the first time in his career for back-to-back 20-pointgames, and the third time this year of 20 or more points. Over the course of his career, the junior had two 20-point games at Colorado State last year and now three this season, including a career-high 23 vs. Stanford.
• Tuesday's contest will feature two of the top three scorers in the Big Ten in Minnesota's Cade Tyson and Ohio State's Bruce Thornton. Tyson ranks second in the Big Ten in scoring at 20.8 points per game, while Bruce Thornton is averaging 20.5. Tyson has reached double-figures in all 18 games this season and, against USC, added his ninth game with 20-plus points (two with 30-plus). He ranks second in the B1G in scoring with 21.1 points, 18th nationally. His 374 points also rank second in the B1G and 19th nationally.
Langston Reynolds is 18 points away from his 1,000th career point. Reynolds enters the OSU game with 982 career points after scoring 789 points with Northern Colorado and now 193 with the Gophers this season.

ABOUT THE BUCKEYES
• Ohio State (12-5 overall, 4-3 B1G) has won its last two of three games, including an 86-74 win over UCLA Saturday. The Buckeyes competed on their west coast trip and split action, falling at Oregon (72-62) but beating Washington (74-81).
• The Buckeyes are led by All-Big Ten senior Bruce Thornton, who ranks third in the Big Ten in points per game (20.5), fifth in points (349), second in field goals (122) and fifth in field goal percentage (56.5). He also averages second in minutes played (36.2). John Mobley Jr. and Devin Royal average 14.6 and 14.4 points, while Christoph Tilly rounds out OSU's double-digit scorers with 12.1 points. Royal averages a team-best 6.2 rebounds as Amare Bynum holds a team-best 17 blocks.
• As a team, the Buckeyes hold the league's fourth-best shooting percentage (49.9) and effective field goal percentage (56.8). As a team, OSU is averaging 83.3 points and allowing 72.1. OSU is allowing its opponents to shoot 30 percent from three, which is third in the B1G. The Buckeyes are shooting 34.3 from the arc and 79.1 from the charity stripe, second-best in the league to Illinois.

ON THE DOCKET
• The Gophers return to Williams Arena on Saturday when they host the Nebraska Cornhuskers at 11 a.m. on FS1. Mike Grimm and Al Nolen will provide the radio broadcast on KTLK 1130 AM and 103.5 FM. Saturday's game is alumni day. All former Gopher men's basketball athletes will be recognized on the court during halftime.
