MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. – University of Minnesota diver Vivi Del Angel has been named Big Ten Diver of the Week for the week of Feb. 4, as announced by the conference this afternoon.
Del Angel helped lead the Gophers to big wins over Purdue and Northwestern at last week's B1G Triple Duals, sweeping both women's diving events. Vivi tallied a score of 339.65 in the women's 3-meter and a score of 331.30 in the women's platform to take home the victory in both events. This is Del Angel's first Diver of the Week award of the 2025-26 season, and Minnesota's first weekly award since Nov. 11.
Gopher swimming and diving returns this weekend at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center for the NCAA First Chance meet. The unscored meet offers another opportunity for athletes to tally NCAA qualifying marks before postseason competition officially begins. The action is set to begin on Friday, Feb. 6 at 5:00 PM (CT).
