MINNEAPOLIS -- Sarah Moraw, a senior for the University of Minnesota gymnastics team, is the recipient of the Elite Scholar-Athlete award for the 2025-26 NCAA Division I women's Gymnastics Championship.

Moraw, who is pursuing her master's in human resources and industrial relations, currently carries a 4.0 GPA. She was presented with the award during the awards presentation at NCAA Gymnastics Nationals on Thursday, April 16.

The Elite Scholar-Athlete award recognizes the true essence of student-athletes by honoring the individuals who have reached the pinnacle of competition at the national championship level in their sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among their peers. The Elite Scholar-Athlete award is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average participating at the finals site for each of the NCAA's championships.

Eligible student-athletes are sophomores or above academically who have participated in a sport for at least two years with their school. All ties are broken based on the number of credits completed.

In her career at the 'U', Moraw is an AAI Award Nominee, a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and a two-time All-Big Ten Second Team member. She made the Big Ten All-Championships Team in 2024 after tying for the Big Ten Balance Beam title.

A two-time Big Ten Distinguished Scholar (2023-24, 2024-25), Moraw was a CSC Academic All-District honoree in 2024-25. She's a three-time WCGA Scholastic All-American.
