MINNEAPOLIS - Three vital members of the Golden Gophers men's hockey support staff will remain with the program it was announced by head coach Brett Larson Thursday as Cal Dietz (strength and conditioning), Lee Greseth (equipment manager), and Jeff Winslow (athletic trainer) continue their efforts for Minnesota.

"I'm thrilled we've been able to keep our support staff in place," Larson said. "The work they do behind the scenes is essential to everything we're trying to accomplish, and our players benefit from their dedication every single day. Championship programs are built by the entire team, and this group will play a huge role in our success."

Dietz has been a mainstay with the Maroon and Gold since joining the department in 2000 and in his position as the Associate Director of Athletic Performance, has been running the strength and conditioning programs for the men's and women's hockey teams. He has aided a variety of Minnesota sports to win a combined 11 NCAA titles across his career and was recently on the Team USA women's hockey staff that claimed a gold medal at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan. Dietz implements year-round training plans, oversees athlete testing and recovery, and collaborates with the coaching and athletic training staff to maximize performance and durability.

A three-time NCAA Champion during his tenure in the hockey world, Greseth has helped Minnesota to 10 conference championships and a pair of NCAA runner-up results since joining the program as its equipment manager 17 years ago. He also was a student manager for the Gophers men's hockey team during his undergraduate years. His day-to-day work ensures players and coaches have everything they need, from managing gear inventory to maintaining locker room operations along with on-ice equipment preparation and repair.

Since 2009, Winslow has provided clinical oversight for the Maroon and Gold as a Certified Athletic Trainer and currently serves Minnesota's department as an Assistant Athletic Director. This past year, he stepped into a key role with USA Hockey on the support staff at the 2026 IIHF World Junior Championship held in the Twin Cities. His responsibilities include injury prevention and evaluation, rehabilitation planning, and coordinating comprehensive health and wellness services for the Gophers' student-athletes.
