2023 • SOPHOMORE SEASON: Led a fourth-quarter comeback win against Nebraska, where he completed 24 passes for 196 yards and one touchdown and also ran six times for 12 yards • completed 10 passes for 117 yards and rushed six times for 10 yards against Eastern Michigan • rushed for 26 yards and threw for 133 yards at North Carolina • threw for 153 yards and two touchdowns and also rushed for 34 yards at Northwestern • completed 12-of-14 passes (85.7%) for 146 yards and two touchdowns and also rushed for 17 yards and one touchdown against Louisiana • threw one touchdown pass against Michigan • completed 10 passes for 126 yards at Iowa • completed 14 passes to six different receivers for 200 yards and one touchdown against Michigan State • threw for 167 yards and three touchdowns against Illinois • completed 18 passes for 292 yards and three touchdowns at Purdue • completed 11 passes for 89 yards at Ohio State • threw for 167 yards and one touchdown against Wisconsin. 

2022 • FRESHMAN SEASON: Started five of the 11 games he played in and compiled a record of 3-2 as a starter • completed 60-of-111 yards for 946 yards and three touchdowns • rushed for one score. Game-by-Game: Made his Minnesota debut against New Mexico State • rushed for a one-yard touchdown against Western Illinois and was 3-of-3 passing for 67 yards • gained 10 yards on four carries against Colorado • played at Michigan State and at Illinois • made his first career start at Penn State and passed for 175 yards and one touchdown (first of his career was a two-yard pass to Brevyn Spann-Ford) and also rushed seven times for 45 yards • passed for 137 yards and rushed for 27 yards in relief of an injured Tanner Morgan at Nebraska, helping erase a 10-0 halftime deficit and securing a 20-13 road win • rushed four times for 28 yards and completed seven passes for 64 yards against Northwestern as he earned his first career win as a starting quarterback • rushed four times for 32 yards and completed seven passes for 87 yards against Iowa • completed 19 passes for 319 yards and two touchdowns at Wisconsin and also rushed for 14 yards • started against Syracuse and completed 7-of-9 passes for 80 yards before leaving the game with an injury.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Antioch High School in Antioch, Illinois • wore No. 7 for the Sequoits • did not compete during the fall of 2020 as the state of Illinois did not sanction high school football as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, but did lead team to a 6-0 record in the abbreviated spring season • passed for 1,158 yards and 15 touchdowns and rushed for 245 yards and four touchdowns on 40 carries • named Gatorade Player of the Year in Illinois and was the Northern Lake County Conference Player of the Year and captain of the Daily Herald Lake County All-Area team • as a junior, helped lead team to a Northern Lake County Conference title in 2019 despite seeing reduced action because of an injury • as a sophomore, set school single-season records for passing yards (2,083) and passing touchdowns (26) • rushed for 610 yards and 11 touchdowns • led team to the 2018 Class 6A state quarterfinals • earned all-area honors • as a freshman, completed 86 passes for 1,205 yards • also played basketball and competed in track and field • coached by Brian Glashagel • four-star recruit according to 247Sports and ESPN • ranked as the No. 16 quarterback in the nation according to Rivals and the No. 2 prospect in Illinois according to 247Sports • listed 267th in ESPN300. 

PERSONAL: Son of Alex and Colleen Kaliakmanis • has three siblings (Dino, Amerissa and Andreas) • father, Alex, wrestled in college at Seton Hall University • brother, Dino, is a receiver with the Gophers.
