2010 • JUNIOR SEASON: Competed in 11 of 13 competitions on the parallel bars • received Academic All-Big Ten honors • Coaches Appreciation Award Winner • Second Team Academic Excellence Award recipient • scored a 14.650 on the parallel bars at Nebraska, his best of the season • earned his second varsity letter.
2009 • SOPHOMORE SEASON: Competed in three meets • scored a 12.45 mark on the still rings against Arizona State, Washington and Calgary, his best of the season • also scored a season-high mark of 14.55 on the parallel bars in that quad meet • earned Minnesota[apos]s Most Improved Gymnast award • letterwinner.
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: A 2007 graduate of Maple Grove High School • trained at Twin City Twisters with coaches Drew Shields and Tony Wokniak.
PERSONAL: Majoring in risk management and insurance • a four-time Academic All-American in high school • lists making the region team as his most memorable sports thrill • son of Katie and Greg Paulus • has two younger brothers, John and Thomas • Born May 2, 1989.
