CAREER NOTES AND HONORS
Skated for Minnesota from 2013-2016 and helped the Gophers capture three-straight Big Ten regular-season titles as well as the 2015 Big Ten playoff title • recorded 48 points (18 goals, 30 assists) in 99 career games • Second Team All-Big Ten honoree (2016) • three-year letter winner • signed an amateur tryout contract and an entry-level contract with the San Jose Sharks organization on March 26, 2016 -- foregoing his senior season at Minnesota.
2015-16 | JUNIOR SEASON
Skated in all 37 games for the Gophers with career highs for points (21), goals (eight) and assists (13) • Second Team All-Big Ten honoree • led all Minnesota defensemen and finished tied for fourth among Big Ten defensemen with 21 points • led all Minnesota defensemen and finished tied for second among Big Ten defensemen with eight goals • named to the Mariucci Classic All-Tournament Team • tallied the first-ever hat trick by a Big Ten defenseman on Jan. 23, 2016 in a 9-2 win against Wisconsin • earned third letter.
2014-15 | SOPHOMORE SEASON
Appeared in 36 games as a sophomore for the Maroon & Gold • totaled 14 points with four goals and 10 assists • tallied 2 assists in a season-opening victory over UMD • netted 3 points, a goal and 2 assists, in a series sweep over Notre Dame • added an assist in a 5-0 road win over Michigan State • scored a goal in a 2-3 loss against Merrimack in the Mariucci Classic • added an assist on the road in a 3-4 overtime loss to Michigan • scored a goal in a semifinal loss during the North Star College Cup against Minnesota State • netted a power play goal during a 6-2 victory over Ohio State • added an assist on a Justin Kloos power play goal in a 2-1 victory at Penn State • picked up an assist in a 2-5 loss at Ohio State • tallied an assist in a 5-0 win over Penn State • added an assist in a 4-2 win over Michigan in the Big Ten Championship • earned second letter.
2013-14 | FRESHMAN SEASON
Appeared in 26 games as a freshman for the Gophers including all four NCAA tournament games • totaled 13 points in his rookie campaign with six goals and seven assists • also tallied 39 blocks and was a plus-eight for the year • opened his college career with points in four-straight games •scored his first college goal in his Gophers debut -- a 6-0 win over Mercyhurst • added an assist in Minnesota's 6-3 win at Bemidji State • scored two points (one goal, one assist) in Minnesota's series against Boston College • tallied three points in the UMD series (two power-play goals, one assist) including his first career two-point game in a 6-1 win over the Bulldogs • added an assist in Minnesota's 3-2 win at Michigan State • scored an unassisted goal in the team's 2-2 tie with Colgate at the Mariucci Classic • added an assist in Minnesota's 5-2 win at Penn State and picked up another helper against the Nittany Lions at home in a 2-1 win • opened the NCAA tournament with a goal and an assist in the team's 7-3 win over Robert Morris • earned first letter.
JUNIORS/HIGH SCHOOL
Played in 61 regular-season games in 2012-13 for the USHL's Muskegon Lumberjacks, tallying 33 points (16 goals, 17 assists) • also skated in three playoff games for the Lumberjacks with one assist • joined Muskegon for three games in 2011-12 and tallied one assist • prior to his tenure in the USHL, played three seasons for Blaine • set career prep highs in 2011-12, contributing 36 points (16 goals, 20 assists) in his final year with the Bengals • scored 31 points (14 goals, 17 assists) in 2010-11 and six points (three goals, three assists) in 2009-10.

Born May 28, 1995 • son of Mike and Kathy Brodzinski • has three brothers, Jonny, Easton and Bryce • selected 141st overall in the fifth round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft by the San Jose Sharks • brother, Jonny, played hockey at St. Cloud State and was drafted seven picks after Michael in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft by the Los Angeles Kings.
