Finished his first year of compeation with an overall record of 14-7 recorded three pins and three major decisions won his first title at the North County Open with a 13-3 major decision over Carther Ash of Southwest Minnesota State University and a pair of decisions over Andrew Peralta of MSU-Moorhead (3-0) and Nikolas Bogojevic Augsburg (3-2) before scoring a pin at 4:52 of the championship bout over Gerad Fugleberg MSU-Moorhead went 3-0 at the Husky Open with a major decision to reach the heavyweight final, where he dropped a 4-0 decision to top-seeded Jake Kahnke of St. Cloud State finished fourth at the Kaufman-Border Open earned his third letter.

HIGH SCHOOL:
2009 graduate of Anoka High School teammate or fellow Gopher newcomer Jake Deitchler coached by former Golden Gopher Brandon Paulson four-time wrestling letter winner earned All-State and All-America honors as a junior and senior placed third at the 2008 Minnesota high school tournament posted a 40-6 overall record as a junior won 95 career matches, winning a state championship and leading his team to a third place finished at the state meet in 2007 named a Junior National Greco-Roman All-American earned high honors for academics 2008 second team academic all-state selection.

Born on Nov. 16, 1990 son of Steve and Carol Kettler has an older brother Josh (27) and an older sister Stacey (26) undeclared on a major most memorable sports thrill was winning the state title.
