2021 | RS SENIOR Made five appearances out of the bullpen and played in 17 games as a position player · registered a 4.50 ERA in 10.0 innings pitched, giving up five earned runs and striking out 11. Game Highlights: Had an RBI and scored a run against Illinois (March 13) · pitched two shutout innings with three strikeouts against Michigan (April 16) · struck out three and allowed just one earned run in 2 2/3 innings at Maryland (April 30) · allowed one hit and struck out four in 2 2/3 innings against Penn State (May 29).

Game Highlights: Collected two hits and finished 2-for-3 at the plate with one double, one RBI, one steal and a season-high three runs scored in the season opener against Oregon against Feb. 14 · drove in two runs while going 1-for-1 at the plate against SDSU on March 4.
2019 | SUMMER Competed for the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders of the Northwoods League · batted .296 with two doubles, four runs, three RBI and four steals in 27 at bats.
2019 | RS SOPHOMORE Played in 41 games including 26 starts · batted .281/.366/.393 with one home run, three doubles, 13 RBIs, and 14 runs scored· Academic All-Big Ten Selection. Game Highlights: Made his first start of the season at N.C. State on March 2 · went 1-for-2 with a home run at Penn State on March 24 · scored three runs, finishing 3-for-6 with a triple vs. St. Scholastica on April 2 · drove in four runs, going 2-for-4 with a triple at Indiana on April 26 · enjoyed a five-game hitting streak from May 7 through May 16.
2018 | SUMMER Competed for the Eau Claire Express of the Northwoods League · earned the chance to compete in the Major League Dreams Showcase · finished 1-0 with a 3.60 ERA in five games, striking out four in 5.0 innings · batted .263 with three doubles, 12 RBIs, and eight runs scored in 25 games.

HIGH SCHOOL Graduated from Marshall High School in 2016 • was named the Big South Conference Player of the Year his junior season • was named all-state, all-conference and all-section multiple times • set a single-season school record with a .467 batting average his junior year • was also a NLI for the Gopher football team.
PERSONAL Son of Chris and Mary Jo Hmielewski • has one brother, Matt and one sister, Ashtin • uncle, Jim Hmielewski, was a Third-Team All-American tackle at Kansas State and was a member of the Dallas Cowboys.
