2016Â - SOPHOMORE SEASON:
Made 22 appearances on the season - pitched 47 innings going 4-3 with 50 strikeouts - established six strikeouts against Utah Valley - pitched two innings against Virginia Tech, throwing two strikeouts and earning her first save of the season - started on the mound against Mount St. Mary's, pitching five strikeouts - pitched the last inning sealing the win against Western Carolina - started against Jacksonville, pitching four innings allowing only three hits and two earned runs, fired in four strikeouts - started against Robert Morris, striking out five - finished the last two innings against UMASS sealing the win - pitched the last three innings against Mercer, striking out four batters and did not allow a run - secured the victory against LIU, pitching the last inning - pitched the first two innings in team win over No. 13 Oklahoma - started against Tulsa, striking out two - pitched one inning in the first game of the weekend against Northwestern, striking out one. Pitched 2.2 innings in the last game, striking out five batters - earned a win on the mound, pitching three innings in the first game against Illinois - recorded a save in second game against Illinois - pitched 2.1 innings in second game of double header against Wisconsin, striking out five - pitched 1.1 innings, striking out two, in the first game of the series against Rutgers - pitched one inning against Maryland - picked up a victory in the NCAA Tournament over North Dakota State helping send the Gophers to championship Sunday.Â
2015 -FRESHMAN SEASON:
Pitched 62.2 innings and went 8-2 with a 3.35 ERA over 20 appearances, including 13 starts - had a 2-0 record in Big Ten play and went 4-0 in night games - struck out 56 batters, including eight in her collegiate debut against Bakersfield (Feb. 6) - nailed down a 2.2-inning save against Montana (March 15) - was sixth in the conference in ERA and gave up the fewest earned runs among eligible Big Ten pitchers (minimum average of one inning pitched per game) - eighth in the conference with 6.3 strikeouts per seven innings - with Stober in the circle, opposing runners were 0-for-7 in stolen base attempts - walked in her only plate appearance of the season against UNLV (Feb. 8).
HIGH SCHOOL:
Earned three varsity letters at Lakeville South High School - helped lead the Cougars to their first-ever state championship as a senior in 2014 - was a two-time All-South Suburban Conference honoree and a two-time all-state honoree - also played club softball for Lakeville Invasion Fastpitch and the Minnesota Renegades 97 and 96 teams.
Undecided on a major field of study - most memorable sports thrill was winning the state tournament in her senior year of high school - daughter of Edward and Ellen Stober - born July 18, 1996.
