PERSONAL: Son of Antoine and Erniece Winfield • has two brothers (Antoine Jr. and Ethan) • brother, Antoine Jr., is a defensive back for the Gophers • father, Antoine, played defensive back at Ohio State from 1995-98 and won the Jim Thorpe Award for the nation's top defensive back in 1998 • he then was a first round choice by the Buffalo Bills and went on to play 14 seasons in the NFL with the Bills and Minnesota Vikings and was a three-time All-Pro selection.
