HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Huron High School • was a team captain his senior season • as a senior, had 51 tackles and one sack • also caught one touchdown on offense • recorded 11 receptions for 11 yards • earned Academic All-State honors • on top of football was a State A 195 Champion in wrestling.

PERSONAL: Son of John and Sandi Schoenfelder • has three brothers (Wade, Josh and Curt) and one sister (Amber) • brother Wade played football at Dakota Wesleyan University and cousin Chad Greenway played at Iowa before getting drafted by the Minnesota Vikings.
