2020 • SENIOR SEASON: Played in six games • caught three passes for 30 yards • blocked for an offense that totaled 2,738 yards and averaged 27.3 points per game. Game-by-Game: Started against Michigan and at Maryland • lone reception at Illinois went for seven yards • started against Iowa • made one catch for three yards against Purdue and blocked for an offense that totaled 394 yards (264 passing; 130 rushing and five rushing TDs) • missed the Nebraska game • caught one pass – a 20-yard reception from Seth Green – at Wisconsin.

2019 • JUNIOR SEASON: Granted a sixth year of eligibility from the NCAA prior to the 2019 season • played in 10 games and made two catches for 12 yards and one touchdown • blocked for an offense that totaled 5,616 yards (third most in school history), 3,293 passing yards (school record), 294 first downs (second most in school history), 443 points (second most in school history) and a scoring average of 34.1 points per game (three most in school history). Game-by-Game: Started against South Dakota State and competed at Fresno State • saw action against Nebraska • started at Rutgers and blocked for an offense that gained 443 yards and allowed zero sacks • blocked for an offense that scored 52 points, totaled 498 yards and did not allow a sack against Maryland • protected for an offense that completed 90% of its passes (18-of-20) and threw for 339 yards and three touchdowns against Penn State • provided protection for an offense that threw for 368 yards and one touchdown at Iowa • protected for an offense that rushed for 212 yards and one touchdown and threw for 211 yards and four touchdowns at Northwestern • competed against Wisconsin • made two catches and caught one touchdown in an Outback Bowl win against Auburn and also protected for an offense that gained 494 yards. 

2018 • SOPHOMORE SEASON: Played in 11 games and caught three passes for 75 yards • blocked for a Minnesota offense that averaged 28.9 points per game (tied for second most in a season since 2005) and one that rushed for 23 touchdowns and threw for 20 touchdowns (first time since 2006 Minnesota reached 20 passing and rushing touchdowns in a season). Game-by-Game: Caught two passes for 62 yards, including a career long 41-yard reception, at Ohio State • made one reception for 13 yards at Nebraska.

2017: Saw action in the first four games of the season before suffering a season-ending injury.

2016 • FRESHMAN SEASON: Played in eight games, but did not record any statistics • made his Minnesota and collegiate debut against Oregon State.  

2015: Redshirted.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended West Catholic High School, where he helped the Falcons win back-to-back Division 5 state titles after a runner-up finish as a sophomore • West Catholic went 14-0 in 2014 • named to the AP Division 5-6 All-State First Team as a defensive lineman • MLive Grand Rapids Press Defensive Player of the Year • caught 16 touchdown passes and amassed nearly 800 receiving yards as a senior • made 81 tackles (23 for a loss) and returned a fumble for a touchdown • made four receptions for 124 yards and three touchdowns in the 2014 state semifinal game • started for the Falcons for three years • coached by Dan Rohn • also lettered in basketball and track • received three stars from 247Sports and Scout, while Rivals gave him two stars • Scout had him as the second-best tight end in Michigan and 38th-best tight end in his class • tabbed the No. 36 Michigan recruit and No. 69 tight end by 247Sports.

PERSONAL: Son of Gayle and Jim Witham • has already graduated with a degree in Psyschology.
