HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Centennial High School • served as the team's long snapper and was successful on all 115 snaps (10 field goals, 71 point-after attempts and 34 punts) during his senior season • team started the season 0-2, but finished with a 12-2 record and won a state championship • was named second-team All-State, first-team All-Division and was honorable mention All-American • coached by Richard Taylor • received a five-star ranking and was listed as the No. 10 long snapper in the nation by Kohl’s.

PERSONAL: Born Feb. 27, 1997 • son of DeWayne and Gayle Samuels • has one sister (Alexis) • was diagnosed with leukemia at age 6 and has become an advocate for childhood cancer research • volunteered hundreds of hours with Camp Rainbow at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, which is for children who have, or who have had cancer or a chronic blood disorder.
