OVERVIEW: Enrolled at Minnesota in January 2025 with one season of playing eligibility remaining • spent two seasons at Kentucky (2023-24) and two seasons at West Virginia (2021-22). 

2025: Made his first career start (right tackle) at Minnesota against Buffalo and blocked for a unit that totaled 443 yards of total offense (153 rushing and 290 passing) • started and blocked for an offense that recorded 484 yards of total offense (258 rushing, 226 passing) against Northwestern State • started at Cal • blocked for an offense that passed for 324 yards and three touchdowns against Rutgers • started at right guard at Ohio State and against Purdue. 

PREVIOUS SCHOOLS: Spent two seasons at Kentucky (2023-24) and two seasons at West Virginia (2021-22). KENTUCKY: In 2024, started two of the 12 games he played in • allowed only three sacks in 412 snaps during the season, per Kentucky • in 2023, started 10 of the 13 games he saw action in. WEST VIRGINIA: In 2022, played in two games • In 2021, redshirted • started his career as a walk-on.  

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Noblesville High School in Noblesville, Indiana • coached by Dave Sharpe and led Millers to Class 6A sectional playoffs • named offensive line MVP as a senior • multiple-year starter. 

PERSONAL: Son of John and Carol Ray • has one sister (Devon) • father, John, played college football at West Virginia and was an offensive lineman from 1988-91 before playing with the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts.
