2016 • SENIOR SEASON: Played in 12 games and made two tackles. Game-by-Game: Recorded first tackle in Maroon and Gold against Indiana State • saw action against Colorado State, Penn State and Iowa • made one tackle against Maryland • played against Rutgers, Illinois, Purdue, Nebraska, Northwestern, Wisconsin and Washington State.

PREVIOUS COLLEGES: Spent two seasons (2014 and 2015) at Houston Baptist University after spending two years (2012 and 2013) at Oregon • in 2015, played in nine of 11 games at Houston Baptist and notched 31 tackles (17 solo) • made one interception and also recovered one fumble • in 2014, started all 11 games and ranked third on the team with 60 tackles (52 solo) en route to being named Southland All-Conference Honorable Mention • recorded four tackles for losses, half of a sack and broke up two passes • returned a fumble 31 yards for a touchdown and blocked a field goal at Northern Colorado • made eight tackles against Abilene Christian and recorded a season-high 10 tackles at Incarnate Word • in 2013, appeared in one game at Oregon after redshirting for the Ducks in 2012 • enrolled at Minnesota in June as a graduate transfer and has one season of eligibility (2016-17).

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Martin High School where he was a Class 5A all-area second-team selection as a senior • posted 50 tackles, six pass breakups, two interceptions and was the 25th-ranked cornerback nationally by Scout • earned all-district honors as a junior, with 59 tackles, three interceptions, three pass breakups, two fumble recoveries and a pair of sacks • also lettered in track.

PERSONAL: Born May 10, 1994 • son of Eric Amoako Sr. and Donna Birchette • has two brothers (Stephen and Therron) and one sister (Erycah) • twin brother Stephen played football at Illinois State.
