Academic All-Big Ten (2024, 2023)

OVERVIEW: Enrolled at Minnesota in January 2022 with three three seasons of playing eligibility remaining entering the 2022 season. 

2025: Competed against Buffalo and blocked for a unit that totaled 443 yards of total offense (153 rushing and 290 passing). 

2024 SENIOR SEASON: Played in all 13 games and started three • made one catch for 13 yards. Game-by-Game: Competed against North Carolina • started against Rhode Island and blocked for an offense that gained 422 total yards • played against Nevada, Iowa and at Michigan • competed against USC • made one reception - first of his career - for 13 yards at UCLA • competed against Maryland • played at Illinois and at Rutgers • competed against Penn State • started at Wisconsin and blocked for an offense that rushed for 183 yards and one touchdown and one that passed for 191 yards and two touchdowns • played against Virginia Tech. 

2023 JUNIOR SEASON: Competed in one game • made his Minnesota debut against Bowling Green.

2022: Redshirted • did not see game action. 

PREVIOUS SCHOOL: Spent two seasons (2020-21) at Iowa Western Community College where he played in 16 career games • served primarily as a blocking tight end and helped pave the way for the Reivers to pass for 4,448 yards and 46 touchdowns and rush for 2,705 yards and 34 touchdowns • lone reception was a 15-yard touchdown. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Tipton High School in Tipton, Iowa • was a four-time Academic All-State honoree • named All-District and All-Eastern Iowa three times • earned All-State honors twice • as a senior, rushed 105 times for 733 yards • caught 20 passes for 385 yards and 11 touchdowns • recorded 45 tackles, 17 tackles for loss and 10 sacks • made 20-of-25 point-after attempts • also lettered in basketball and track • led the state of Iowa in total rebounding as a junior and senior • was a 12-time state track qualifier (was not able to compete as a senior due to the COVID-19 pandemic).    

PERSONAL: Son of Kirby and Greta Bierman • has three siblings (Sam, Rachel and Liz).
