After her playing career, Wu transistioned to the coaching staff and succesfully served as a Student Assistant Coach (Sept. 2019 - Feb. 2020) and as the Assistant Coach (Feb. 2020 - May 2020) of the program. "She did an outstanding job and did everything that was required of the positions," head coach Michele Redman said. "We felt very fortunate to have Muyu be an employee of athletics."
2018-19 | SENIOR SEASON:
Opened the season at the Minnesota Invitational and finished tied for 55th • Competed in the ANNIKA Intercollegiate and finished tied for 47th (77-73-75—223) • Tied for 33rd at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate (75-72-78—225) • Closed out the fall season at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown (80-79-79—238) • Opened the spring season at the Moon Golf Invitational where she tied for 9th (66-73-73--212) • Competed at The Gold Rush and tied for 30th (80-74-71--225) • Finished in a tied for 5th at the Juli Inkster Invitational • Tied for 29th at the Lady Buckeye Invitational (78-76-75--229) • Closed the season at the Big Ten Championship (78-72--150) in a tie for 38th.

Competed in every tournament, each as a member of the team lineup • Finished the year second in scoring average (75.75), a figure which ranks 15th in program history • Recorded three top-20 finishes • Carded her best tournament finish of the year and a career-best 18 and 72 hole score at the Minnesota Invitational, tying for 17th (72-69-73—214, -2) • Also posted a top-20 finish at the Louisville Ladies Fall Invitational, tying for 19th (77-77—154, +10) • Tied for 18th at the Clover Cup (74-73-76—223, +7) • Matched that score to par one month later in a 27th-place finish at the Lady Buckeye Spring Invitational (75-76—151) • Finished T-62nd at the Big Ten Championship (77-75-80—232, +16).

Competed internationally from 2013-15 • placed second in the 2015 CGF Tour in Tianjin, China • in 2014, finished as the runner-up at the HSBC China Junior Open at Zhuhai, and was the champion of the HSBC Junior Team Championship from November 18-24, 2013 at Tycoon Golf Club in Shenzhen, China • earned the top spot in the 2013.10 HSC China Junior Final Championship • competed in two events stateside, the Lockton/Samsung Kansas City Junior (9th, +16) and the Lessing’s AJGA Classic (T-14th, +11).
PERSONAL:
Parents are Kuang Liang and Lianqing Wu • has many friends playing professionally • most memorable golf thrill is her first professional tournament, where she finished tied for 14th in a China LPGA event • also enjoys swimming • plans to major in business.
