2021-22 | FRESHMAN SEASON
Skated in 24 games as a freshman with the Gophers in 2021-22 ⢠tallied 19 points (nine goals, 10 assists) to finish fourth on the team in points per game and second in scoring among Minnesota freshmenĀ ā¢Ā helped the Gophers win the 2021-22 Big Ten Regular-Season Championship and advance to the NCAA Frozen Four for the first time since 2014 ⢠team was 10-3-0 when Lucius recorded a point ⢠notched his first career point in his Minnesota debut -- an assist in a win over Mercyhurst on Oct. 8 ⢠picked up points in his first three college games including his first career goal against St. Cloud State on Oct. 15 ⢠scored twiceĀ (including the game-winning tally) in a 5-1 win at Michigan on Dec. 3 ⢠notched a season-high three points (one goal, two assists) in a 4-1 win at Michigan State on Jan. 7 ⢠finished the year with five multi-point performances ⢠named to the 2022 U.S. National Junior Team for the IIHF World Junior Championship (canceled) along with fellow Gophers Brock Faber and Matthew Knies ⢠earned first letter.Ā
JUNIORS
Product of USA Hockeyās National Team Development Program ⢠skated in 12 USHL games during the 2020-21 season and notched 18 points (13 goals, five assists) ⢠his 1.50 points per game ranked third in the USHL ⢠totaled 22 points (eight goals, 14 assists) in 32 USHL games during the 2019-20 campaign ⢠previously skated as a prep at Gentry Academy.Ā
INTERNATIONAL
Named to the 2022 U.S. National Junior Team for the IIHF World Junior Championship (canceled) along with fellow Gophers Brock Faber and Matthew Knies ⢠won a gold medal at the 2019 U-17 Four Nations Tournament, scoring three points (one goal, two assists) in three games ⢠earned a silver medal and was named to the all-star team at the 2019 World Under-17 Challenge after scoring 10 points (seven goals, three assists) in seven games to lead the tournament in goals and points ⢠skated at the 2020 U-17 Five Nations Tournament with five points (four goals, one assist) in four games) ⢠named to the U.S. Under-18 National Team for the 2021 IIHF Under-18 Menās World Championship but did not compete.Ā

Native of Grant, Minn. ⢠son of Chuck and Tami Lucius ⢠has three brothers (Cruz, Nate, Brian) ⢠ranked 12th among North America Skaters eligible for the 2021 NHL Entry Draft by the NHL Central Scouting Bureau ⢠selected in the first round (18th overall) of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft by the Winnipeg Jets ⢠Gopher Hockey's 22nd first round draft pick.
