2018-19 | SOPHOMORE SEASON
Skated in 34 games as a sophomore for the Gophers in 2018-19 • recorded his first 10 points (one goal, nine assists) in his second campaign with Minnesota • recorded his first collegiate point with an assist in a 1-1 overtime tie at Minnesota Duluth on Oct. 6 • added three assists in a 7-4 win over Minnesota Duluth on Oct. 7 for a single-game career high for points and assists • tallied points in three of his first four games as a sophomore • scored his first collegiate goal in a 7-2 win over Michigan State on Nov. 23 to start a three-game point streak • added two assists at Penn State on Feb. 9 • Academic All-Big Ten • earned second letter. 

2017-18 | FRESHMAN SEASON
Skated in 11 games for the Maroon & Gold as a freshman after joining the team for the second half of the season • made his collegiate debut in a 3-0 Minnesota victory over Army West Point on Dec. 29, 2017 • earned first letter. 

HIGH SCHOOL/JUNIORS
Spent parts of three seasons in the United States Hockey League with the Muskegon Lumberjacks and the Fargo Force • split the 2017-18 season between Fargo and Muskegon, closing out his USHL career with the Lumberjacks • spent his lone full season in the USHL with Fargo during the 2016-17 campaign and was named to the 2017 USHL All-Rookie Team • also appeared in three games with Fargo during the 2015-16 season • previously spent two seasons playing prep hockey at Edina High School • high school teammate of fellow Gophers Sammy Walker and Garrett Wait at Edina. 

INTERNATIONAL
Earned silver with the U.S. Junior Select Team at the 2017 World Junior A Challenge • won gold medals with the U.S. Junior Select Team at the 2016 World Junior A Challenge and with the U.S. Under-17 Select Team at the 2015 Under-17 Five Nations Tournament • won a silver medal with the U.S. Under-18 Select Team at the 2016 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup.

Native of Edina, Minn. • son of Don and Julie Phillips • has two sisters, Meghan and Maddie • selected in the third round (93rd overall) of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft by the Pittsburgh Penguins • named to the 2016 USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game and the 2016 USA Hockey/CCM All-Americans Prospects Game.
