2025-26 | FRESHMAN
• Took to the ice for 31 games in his first season with the Maroon and Gold
• Made his college hockey debut in the season opener versus Michigan Tech (Oct. 3)
• Secured the first point of his career with an assist in game one against the Huskies on opening night
• Blocked a total of 17 shots, including a season-high two on four separate occasions
• Closed the year by putting 13 shots on target from his spot along the blue line
• Was a season-best plus-1 in two different outings, coming at home versus Notre Dame (Nov. 7) and Long Island (Nov. 14)
• Earned first letter

JUNIOR/HIGH SCHOOL
• Two-time USHL Clark Cup Champion winning with the Muskegon Lumberjacks (2024-25) and Fargo Force (2023-24)
• Served as an alternate captain on the Force to begin the 2024-25 season and appeared in 43 games with five goals and 15 assists for 20 points
• Was traded to Muskegon for the final 16 games of the year and tallied five points on one goal and four helpers
• Finished the 2024-25 playoffs with two goals and six assists for eight points in 14 outings on the way to a title, ranking third in scoring among USHL defensemen
• Named to the 2024 USHL All-Academic Team
• Started his USHL career with the Youngstown Phantoms in 2023-24, playing 30 games with eight assists before being traded to Fargo
• Closed the year by making 21 regular season appearances with the Force, totaling two goals and two assists for four points
• Added one goal in 12 outings during Fargo's postseason championship run
• Scored a goal for Team White during the 2024 Chipotle All-American Game

• Served as captain of Team USA at the 2024 World Junior A Challenge and scored the gold-medal-clinching goal against Sweden
• Played the World Junior A Challenge alongside fellow Gopher newcomers Mason Moe and Jacob Rombach
• Won a bronze medal with the Americans during the 2023 Hlinka Gretzky Cup

• Son of Kyle and Carrie McLaughlin
• Father, Kyle, played four years and of college hockey at St. Cloud State (1995-99), totaling 22 points across 144 appearances, served as a team captain in his senior season, and was named the WCHA Outstanding Student-Athlete of the Year in 1998-99
• His father has served as an Assistant Coach and Director of Player Development for the last five seasons with the Canmore Eagles in the AJHL
• Has a younger brother, Will
• Holds dual citizenship in Canada and the United States
• Ranked No. 132 among overall skaters in North America by NHL Central Scouting heading into the 2024 draft
• Was a teammate with current Gopher Leo Gruba with the Fargo Force in 2023-24
