Spent two seasons with the U.S. National Development Team Program in Ann Arbor • tallied a total of 36 points (11 goals, 25 assists) in 2012-13 after totaling 34 points (15 goals, 19 assists) in 54 games the previous season • before joining the USNDTP, skated for Apple Valley High School as a freshman and sophomore • scored 50 points (18 goals, 32 assists) in 28 games in his final prep season after recording 42 points (24 goals, 18 assists) in 31 games during the 2009-10 season • played alongside Gophers teammate A.J. Born July 28, 1995 • son of Rick and Shannon Fasching • has one brother, Cooper, and one sister, Mallory • selected 118th overall in the fourth round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft by the Los Angeles Kings, his rights were traded to the Buffalo Sabres during the 2013-14 season.
