CAREER NOTES AND HONORS
Team captain (2016, 2017) • skated in all 155 games during his four years with the program and totaled 150 career points (63 goals, 87 assists), ranking 28th all-time in scoring at Minnesota  the 82nd member of Minnesota's 100-Point Club • First Team All-Big Ten (2017), Second Team All-Big Ten (2016) • helped Minnesota capture four-straight Big Ten regular-season championships as well as the 2015 Big Ten Tournament title • made three NCAA tournament appearances including a national championship berth in 2014 • John Mariucci Most Valuable Player Award (2016, 2017) and Elwin "Doc" Romnes Leadership & Sportsmanship Award (2016, 2017) • Academic All-Big Ten (2015, 2016, 2017) • four-year letter winner • signed with the Minnesota Wild following his senior season. 

2016-17 | SENIOR SEASON
Team Captain • First Team All-Big Ten • skated in all 38 games • helped Minnesota win its fourth-straight Big Ten regular-season championship • ranked second on the team and fourth in the Big Ten with 43 points (18 goals, 25 points) -- matching his career high • his 18 goals were also a career high • honored with Minnesota's John Mariucci Most Valuable Player Award and the Elwin "Doc" Romnes Leadership & Sportsmanship Award • Academic All-Big Ten honoree • earned fourth letter.  

2015-16 | JUNIOR SEASON
Team captain • Second Team All-Big Ten • skated in all 37 games • led the Gophers and finished fourth in Big Ten scoring with a career-high 43 points (16 goals, 27 assists) • his 27 assists were also a career high while his 16 goals matched his career high from 2013-14 • tied for third in the nation with four short-handed goals • team was 16-6-0 when he tallied a point • posted a career-high four-point game (one goal, three assists) in an overtime win against Ohio State on Dec. 4 • matched the performance with four points (one goal, three assists) against Penn State on Jan. 9 -- the showing kicked off an 11-game point streak and a seven-game goal streak for Kloos (both career longs) • Kloos notched multi-point games in eight of 11 contests during the streak with 23 total points over the stretch • became the 82nd Gopher to join Minnesota's 100-Point Club on March 4 in a win at Michigan State • ended the season on a four-game point streak including three points in the regular-season finale as the Gophers captured the Big Ten regular-season title • honored with Minnesota's John Mariucci Most Valuable Player Award and the Elwin "Doc" Romnes Leadership & Sportsmanship Award • Academic All-Big Ten honoree • earned third letter.

2014-15 | SOPHOMORE SEASON

Appeared in all 39 games as a sophomore • totaled 32 points (13 goals, 19 assists), matching his freshman point total  tallied his first collegiate hat trick in a 4-3 overtime victory against St. Cloud State on Nov. 1 • scored the game-winning goal in a 4-2 victory against Michigan to help the Maroon & Gold secure the Big Ten tournament title • Academic All-Big Ten honoree • earned second letter.

2013-14 | FRESHMAN SEASON
NCAA West Regional Most Outstanding Player and All-Tournament Team member • appeared in all 41 games as a freshman • scored 16 goals to become the first Gophers' freshman to lead the team in goal scoring since Jay Barriball in 2006-07 • finished fourth on the team in points with 32 (16 goals, 16 assists) and led all Minnesota freshman • team was 17-2-3 when he tallied a point and 6-1-1 in games where he had multiple points • scored a power-play goal for his first collegiate point in the season opener -- a 6-0 win over Mercyhurst  scored his first empty-net goal against Penn State in a 5-2 victory while also adding two assists in the game • tallied a goal in Minnesota's 3-2 win at Michigan to clinch the inaugural Big Ten regular-season title • played in all four NCAA tournament games • tallied a goal in the NCAA opener -- a 7-3 win over Robert Morris • scored twice in Minnesota's 4-0 win over St. Cloud State -- including his first game winner -- to send the Gophers to the NCAA Frozen Four • had two points (one goal, one assist) in the national championship game against Union • earned first letter.

INTERNATIONAL
Skated for Team USA at the 2012 World Junior A Challenge.

HIGH SCHOOL/JUNIORS
Skated with the USHL's Waterloo Black Hawks for parts of three seasons including the entire 2012-13 campaign • finished second in the USHL with 87 points behind Black Hawks linemate and Gophers classmate Taylor Cammarata • his 58 assists in 2012-13 were the second most in Waterloo history • earned All-USHL First Team honors • saw action in two USHL games with Waterloo in 2011-12, scoring four points (two goals, two assists) • also played 10 games for the Black Hawks in 2010-11, adding five points (three goals, two assists) • prior to his tenure in the USHL, skated with Lakeville South High School and led the state in scoring with 103 points in 31 games during his senior season • honored as Minnesota's Mr. Hockey in 2012 • helped Lakeville South to a Minnesota State Hockey Tournament Appearance.

Born Nov. 30, 1993 • son of Tom and Mary Kloos • has one brother, John • cousin, Carrie Thompson, played collegiate women's hockey at Dartmouth.
