2021 Cross Country • Senior Season: At the NCAA Championships, finished 213th and sixth on the team in 31:26.5 • placed 48th at the NCAA Regional meet • came in 41st overall at the Big Ten Championships, registering a personal best 5.2 Mile time of 25:54.3 • added a personal best 8K performance at the Nuttycombe Invitational, placing 109th overall and fourth on the team in 24:34.5 • finished 86th in the men’s gold 8K race at the Roy Griak Invitational • opened the season with a 30th overall finish at the Spiked Shoe Invitational, crossing the line fourth on the team in 26:04.9.
Prior to Minnesota: Competed for BYU • NCAA & WCC all-academic honoree in cross country • helped BYU men to a seventh overall finish at the 2021 NCAA Championships • finished 10th overall in the 8k at the WCC Championships, earning All-WCC First Team honors in cross country • won the 8k at the 2021 Silver State Collegiate Challenge.
High School: A 2014 graduate of South Medford High School where he competed for Josh Wallace and Scott Stemple • two-time all-conference honoree • helped team to four straight top-six conference championships finishes.
Personal: Son of Steve and Cyndi Cannon • second of six siblings, Josh, Seth, Adam, Jonathan and Elissa • enjoys cooking, hiking and playing the piano • high-school valedictorian • pursuing Masters of Public Health - Epidemiology at Minnesota.
