Kristin Zdanczewicz joined the Athletic Performance staff in 2018 as an Assistant Director for Athletic Performance working with Women’s Basketball and Men’s Golf.  This is Kristin’s second stint in Gopher Athletics.

A native of Milwaukee, WI, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2003.  While at UW-Whitewater, she was a three year letter winner as a member of the Women Warhawks Basketball team. 

Zdanczewicz worked at the University of Miami in 2017-2018 with the Women’s Basketball and Swimming programs.  During her tenure at Miami, the Women’s Basketball program earned its ninth consecutive post-season appearance, reaching the NCAA Basketball Tournament for the seventh time in the past eight year period.  She trained a trio of Hurricane players that earned post-season honors (Erykah Davenport – 2nd Team All-ACC, Mykea Gray – All-ACC Freshman Team and Kelsey Marshall – All-ACC Freshman Team) and worked individually with eventual WNBA Draft Pick Beatrice Mompremier.   Prior to her time at Miami. she was an Assistant Director of Athletic Performance at the University of Minnesota from 2011 – 2014 and worked primarily with Women’s Track & Field, Cross Country and Women’s Gymnastics.  During her first stinit in Minnesota, she has worked with numerous All-American and All-B1G student-athletes, six Olympic Trial Track & Field athletes, B1G Track & Field Event Champions and B1G Gymnast of the Year Lindsay Mable.  She was part of the B1G Outdoor Track & Field Championship team in 2016. 

Kristin is an accomplished rugby athlete that has played extensively for the Women’s USA Rugby National Team.  She served as Team Captain in 2007 and 2008 and played in the 2006 and 2010 World Cup tournaments.  Overall, she has played 17 years of competitive rugby, spending 13 at the International level earning 23 international appearances.  Kristin also played rugby with the Minnesota Valkryies from 2004 – 2019 and has served as a training & conditioning consultant for the team. 

Zdanczewicz is Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) through the Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa)   She is certified in Reflexive Performance Rest (RPR) and holds American Heart Association (AHA) certification in First Aid, CPR and AED.
