Slevin has competed in every meet so far in 2026 • posted scores of 9.650 on vault and 9.775 on bars in the opener at Utah (Jan. 2) • tallied a career-high vault score of 9.850 and went 9.775 on bars vs. Arkansas (Jan. 10) • posted a season-best 9.900 on bars and 9.800 on vault vs. Michigan (Jan. 17) • went 9.800 on vault at Nebraska (Jan. 24) • totaled a 9.875 bars score vs. Iowa (Jan. 31) • earned consecutive 9.900s on bars vs. UCLA (Feb. 7) and Penn State (Feb. 14) • earned a 9.875 on bars and 9.900 on beam in an exhibition at Washington (Feb. 20) • earned an 9.850 on bars at the Big 4 (March 1) • tallied a 9.850 bars score at UNC (March 6) • won her first event title on bars with a 9.950, a career-best, on Senior Day (March 15).
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB
Hailing from Galway, Ireland, Emma Slevin comes to Minnesota with two years of eligibility remaining after competing overseas • she signed with the Gophers after visiting in July • in club, she competed for Renmore Gymnastics under head coach Chris Muras • Slevin was the first Irish female gymnast to qualify for a senior all-around final at the European Championships and at the World Championships, doing both in 2021 • she was also the 2022 and 2024 Northern European all-around champion and a medalist on bars, beam and floor in 2024 • she also earned the bars title at the Irish National Championships in 2025 •
PERSONAL
The daughter of Deirdre and Liam Slevin, Emma has an older brother, Mark, and a twin sister, Kate • Kate plays professional soccer in Ireland while her dad and brother played traditional Gaelic sports • she plans on majoring in sport and exercise science at Minnesota.
WHY MINNESOTA:
