Sarah Weyrauch
Sarah Weyrauch was promoted to the role of varsity assistant coach with the Minnesota rowing staff in August 2023. Following a five-year career with the Maroon and Gold from 2017-21, she rejoined the program in November 2022 as the Golden Gophers' graduate assistant coach.

In her first full-time season at Minnesota in 2023-24, Weyrauch helped the Gophers to their highest finish at the Big Ten Championship since 2015 as the team placed fifth, highlighted by the First Novice Eight boat earning a bronze medal. The Maroon and Gold won spring duals against Kansas, Kansas State, and Gonzaga, while the First Varsity Eight crew became Minnesota's first boat to land a pair of B1G Boat of the Week honors since the 2012-13 campaign as it picked up the accolades March 19 and April 23.

While coaching the novice team during the 2022-23 season, Weyrauch aided with training and conditioning sessions for the Maroon and Gold. She also fostered positive team culture and maintained open lines of communication with athletes, which promoted a supportive and inclusive environment for personal, athletic, and academic development.

In 2020, Weyrauch organized and executed fundraiser called "Ergos for Equality" that raised over $2,000 for the American Civil Liberties Union. She also served as the chair of the Inclusion Committee at the University of Minnesota from 2020-22.

She also has extensive experience working with North Star Community Rowing where she helped their youth and adaptive rowing programs. She trained and mentored grade school through high school-aged novice rowing athletes and ensured their safety during on-the-water practices.

Weyrauch holds a Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) and American Heart Association Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification. She worked at a M Health Fairview medical center in Minneapolis where she provided compassionate care and support to the community through activities of daily living of surgical oncology patients.

A native of Bloomington, Minn., she was a 2016 graduate of Jefferson High School and participated in basketball, Nordic skiing, track and field, and trap during her prep career for the Jaguars.

Weyrauch earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Statistical Practice from Minnesota in May 2021 and added a Master of Education in Sport and Exercise Science in May 2023.
