Following a five-year collegiate rowing career, Sky Teegen joined the Minnesota rowing program in September 2024 as an assistant coach. She will focus on novice mentorship and team operations for the Golden Gophers.

Teegen competed at the University of Wisconsin from 2019-24 and was a leader on the team, earning a seat on the V4 crew to race at the 2021 NCAA Championships where the Badgers finished in 14th place overall.

The Crystal Lake, Ill., product was named to the Academic All-Big Ten team in each of her five seasons in Madison, while being recognized as a CRCA Scholar-Athlete in her final two years. Teegen also served as the Strategic Partnerships Chair for SAESO (Student-Athletes Equally Supporting Others) where she advocated for student-athletes from diverse backgrounds to feel welcomed and have a sense of community on campus.

Teegen completed two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Legal Studies and Psychology from Wisconsin in 2023 and added a Master of Science degree in Educational Policy of Sports Leadership behind a perfect 4.0 GPA in 2024.
