• Has an older brother, Vincent, who currently plays baseball at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota
• Grandfather, Gary Nelson, played college hockey at Saint Cloud State (1965-67)
• Cousin, Victoria Nelson, is on the hockey and softball teams at the College of St. Scholastica
• Enjoys traveling, hiking, powerlifting, and viewing scenic landscapes in her free time
• Chose the University of Minnesota because "I wanted to go to a big school that would give me the city and also immerse me in nature. It has great academics, resources, and programs that fit my criteria when looking for a college."
