2016 Season - Indoor: Competed in the weight throw at six meets - recorded a career-best throw of 19.06m (62-06.50) to move into seventh in Minnesota history and place fifth at the Meyo Invite - placed 12th in the weight throw (18.80m, 61-08.25) at the Big Ten Championship.

2016 Season - Outdoor: Named USTFCCCA All-Academic team honoree, Big Ten Distinguished Scholar, and Academic All-Big Ten honoree - competed at eight meets with five appearances in discus and eight in hammer throw - placed eighth in hammer throw (60.13m, 197-03) and 16th in discus (45.07m, 147-10) at the Big Ten Championship - NCAA West Prelim qualifier in hammer throw, finishing 16th with a throw of 60.15m (197-04) - won the unseeded section of hammer with a career-best throw of 60.47m (198-04) at the Virginia Challenge - ended the season ranked fifth in program history in hammer throw (60.47m, 198-04) - recorded a season-best throw of 45.88m (150-06) in the discus at the Sun Angel Classic.

2015 Season - Indoor: Transferred to the University of Minnesota after competing for the University of North Dakota for two years - competed in the weight throw at six meets - ended the season ranked 10th among all-time Gopher throwers with a career-best throw of 17.20m (56-05.25) for 19th place at the Big Ten championship - placed third in the weight throw (17.05m, 55-11.25) at Parents Day Invite.

2015 Season - Outdoor: Named USTFCCCA All-Academic team honoree - competed at nine meets, including six meets competing in both the discus and the hammer throw - recorded a career-best throw of 58.90m (193-3) in the hammer throw to place seventh at the Big Ten Championship - ended the season ranked seventh in program history in the hammer (58.90m) - recorded a career-best throw of 51.12m (167-09) in the discus at UC San Diego - competed in both the hammer and the discus at the NCAA West Prelim - placed third in both the hammer (53.16m, 184-02) and the discus (47.62m, 156-02) at the Jaguar Challenge. 

2014 Season: Competed for the University of North Dakota - placed fifth in the hammer throw (185-11, 56.68m) and sixth in the discus (150-4, 45.83m) at the Big Sky Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships - won the hammer throw at the USD Snowbird with a career-best throw of 187-04 (57.11m) - placed second in the discus with a career-best throw of 151-8 (46.22m) at the Lyle Hokanson Classic - won the hammer throw at outdoor season-opening UNC Wilmington Seahawk Invitational (171-2, 52.18m) - placed 10th in the weight throw (53-10.25, 16.41m) at the Big Sky Indoor Track & Field Championships - took second in the weight throw with a career-best throw of 56-1 (17.09m) at the USD Twilight.

2013 Season: Began collegiate career at the University of North Dakota - earned Big Sky Conference All-Academic honors - advanced to the 2013 USA Junior Outdoor Track & Field Championships and placed 10th in the discus and 17th in the hammer throw - qualified for the USA championships in the hammer when she broke the UND school record at Drake's Jim Duncan Invitational with a mark of 168-10 - broke the UND school record in the weight throw at the Big Sky Conference Indoor Championship with a throw of 54-6.75 to place eighth - recorded a Big Sky qualifier in the hammer with a mark of 164-0 at South Dakota's Dakota Duals - won the discus at the NDSU Tune-Up with a Big Sky automatic qualifying mark of 167-03 - won the hammer throw at the UNC-Wilmington Seahawk Invitational with a mark of 156-3 - varsity letterwinner.

High School: A 2012 graduate of Robert M. LaFollette High School - competed for coaches Becca Schmitz and Willie Collins - three-year letterwinner in track & field and basketball - 2011 Wisconsin Division 1 state champion in the discus - placed fifth in the discus at the 2012 Wisconsin Division 1 state meet - earned all-city honors in 2012.

Personal: Born March 10, 1994 - daughter of Aiesha Golden and Elvis Burks - full name is Yarkeisha - has eight siblings, Khiry, Jay, Darnell, Jalen, Portia, Pierre, EJ, and Jayden - majoring in youth studies - enjoys dancing, singing, playing basketball, and cooking.
