Wrestled in two open tournaments in his first season with the Gophers • Finished the year with a record of 2-3 • Won two matches at the Bison Open, defeating North Dakota[apos]s Phil LeVine by a 5-2 decision and Travis Borchert of Southwest Minnesota State by a 5-3 decision.
