Finished his last season at Minnesota with a record of 15-5 in open tournaments Went 5-1 at the Bison Open winning all matches by decision Defeated North Dakota State's Anthony Caputo in a 10-7 decision Picked up four wins at the UNI Open Scored a 14-3 major win against Ian Ousley of Nebraska Went 3-1 at the Husky Open Scored 30 points in his four matches, including a 14-2 win over Zach Enrico of Augsburg Also wrestled at the Jim Fox Spartan Open.

Went 14-8 overall with five pins and one major decisions Pinned Michael Garcia in 3:35 at the Bison Open to start the season off Defeated Jeff Weiss of Indianapolis in a 12-5 decision Earned a title in 157 lbs. at the North Country Open after an 11-0 major decision over Michael Roth of St. Olaf College and followed up with a pin at 6:35 over Garrett Bothun Concordia-Moorehead Placed sixth at the Husky Open.

Earned Academic All-Big Ten honors Tabbed a 7-9 mark at 149 lbs. on the season Went 2-5 in dual meets Earned two pins, one major decision and one technical fall Began season at the Bison Open and went 4-0 before earning co-champion honors with teammate Mario Mason  Wrestled against Portland State at the Northern Quad, earning a fall for the win Went 1-2 at the Lone Star Duals, gaining a decision against Harvard as Minnesota won 41-3 on their way to the sweep Named a U of M Gold Scholar Athlete Earned first letter.

2007-08 •  REDSHIRTED:
Posted a solid 16-11 mark while competing in six events as a redshirt for Minnesota last season Went 3-2 at season-opening Daktronics Open en route to a sixth place finish Another 3-2 performance a week later led to a fourth place finish at Bison Open His 2-2 showing at the Kaufman-Brand Open included a win by pin over Hastings' Nicholas Konen Posted 3-2 mark at Husky Open Went 2-2 and recorded a pin over Northern Illinois' Tim Kirincic at Flash Flanagan Finished season with 3-1 showing at Worthington Open. 

HIGH SCHOOL:
Richmond, Mich., native attended Richmond Community High School Helped his high school team to the 2006 Division 3 state title and runner-up finishes in 2007 and 2004 State place-winner at 130 pounds in 2006 All-State honoree same year Two-times All-Conference for three conference championship teams Also a track and cross country standout in high school • Three-time All-Conference cross country selection Academic All-State selection.
